Erika Baez-Grimes is a first-generation Latina entrepreneur, born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the sunshine state of Florida. Inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of her late grandfather and following in the footsteps of her mother, she began her career in banking in 2004 at a Fortune 100 financial institution. Immersed in the fast-paced world of finance, Erika quickly distinguished herself as a top performer, excelling in client portfolio growth and establishing strategic technology partnerships. Throughout her tenure, she played a pivotal role in expanding the institution’s client base—particularly among small and midsize businesses—while forging key alliances with external fintech providers. Erika has led initiatives to integrate advanced payment and security technologies, enabling businesses to scale operations and process transactions with greater efficiency and compliance. Under her leadership, this Florida-based institution has served hundreds of companies and facilitated hundreds of millions of dollars in secure card revenue nationally. Her success in the financial sector laid a strong foundation for the entrepreneurial ventures that would follow. With over 15 years of experience in high-stakes sales negotiations, Erika believes that dealmaking is the heartbeat of business. Her professional journey began in her family’s small business and evolved into negotiating complex, multi-million-dollar agreements for Fortune 100 companies. In 2012, she became President of The Baez Agency, Inc., where she has empowered middle-income Americans through financial literacy education, advanced sales strategies, Insuring key persons and organizational development. In 2014, she founded Best Payments and Healthcare Integrations (theBPHgroup) dedicated to eliminating credit card processing fees and ensuring PCI compliance. Today, BPH has facilitated over $200 million in card transactions across the U.S., helping businesses retain more of their hard-earned revenue. Erika currently serves as a Certified M&A Professional partnered with the largest business brokerage in the world, specializing in guiding family-owned businesses through strategic acquisitions and successful exits. “Doing Good Deals for Good People.”Erika is deeply involved in her community, serving on local boards and actively advocating for Latinas entering the cybersecurity field. She resides in Central Virginia with her husband and blended family—and when not closing deals, she can be found court-side supporting basketball teams from high school to the NBA.

Loyal T. Grimes III is a multifaceted professional with a rich background in athletics and financial services. At Hampden-Sydney College, he was an Economics Major, standout basketball player, earning 1st Team All-American honors, served as an Assistant Coach, and was inducted into the H-SC Hall of Fame.
Transitioning to the business world, Loyal discovered his niche in merchant services, amassing over 22 years of experience. His expertise in payment processing, and commitment to client satisfaction have established him as a trusted industry leader. Loyal played a key role in the inception of Practice Solutions payments for one of the largest U.S. financial institutions, driving financial results and innovation.
Loyal's career highlights include leadership in Healthcare Verticals, Retail and Restaurant payment integrations, and B2B software solutions. He excels in building strong industry relationships, motivating cross-functional teams, and driving operational excellence. His unique blend of athletic tenacity and business acumen sets him apart as a dynamic and accomplished professional in financial services.
Jonathan Williams
Director of Operations
Jonathan R. Williams is a data driven professional. Over 21 years he discovered a love for unraveling obstacles & achieving long term operational goals with relevant data & comprehensive process solutions.
In the banking industry Jonathan’s understanding of operations, process improvement, & project management greatly expanded. While in banking he had the privilege of working for a Fortune 500 bank, starting in the retention department then ending in a training & development role. Next he joined a Fortune 100 bank where he was quickly promoted from the consumer division to merchant services sales.The merchant application process had multiple process deficiencies, updating this process was his first KAIZEN. Serving in a dual capacity as sales stakeholder & liaison between the leadership team , sales organization , & credit department. The results were a better & faster application experience for the customer while providing shareholder value with increased sales revenue reduced labor costs.
6 years at Amazon provided a master class in operations with large swaths of data, along with a chance to create tools & websites for associates & managers. Serving both as an ICQA data analyst managing large projects with Senior Leadership & outbound flow lead assisting operations managers with labor planning as well as shift execution. Amazon also provided the opportunity to implement & manage an associate quality feedback program reducing DPMO from 25,000 to 8,000. Jonathan is excited to join BPH in an operations role to utilize his accrued experience & knowledge.
